The camp is on 1,000 wooded acres and its main lodge and surrounding lodges and cabins overlook the largest of the camp’s three lakes. Lake Kora’s location is so totally secluded that the only sounds guests will hear are the soft whistle of the wind through majestic pines, the gentle lapping of the water on the Boathouse dock or, when the sun goes down, the melancholy calls of the loons on the lake.

The Main Lodge is charmingly asymmetrical and houses guest bedrooms, the dining room, and a library and game room. There are additional guest accommodation in the Boathouse, in a cabin on an island in the lake, in a secluded Gardener’s Cottage, and in two smaller cabins. In all, 35 guests can be accommodated. All accommodations have fireplaces for the cool evenings and ensuite bathrooms.

The lake is the focal point for many of the guests’ daytime activities There, a wide variety of boats is available — canoes, small sailboats, row boats, a pedal boat, and a state-of-the-art silent electric boat especially nice for sunset cruises. There is a floodlit tennis court and even a ball field once used by the Harvard and Yale baseball teams for spring training. The expansive Playhouse contains ping pong, a pool table (original Adirondack-style), a two-lane bowling alley and a squash court. Less than 40 minutes from the camp is the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain, the charming little town of Old Forge, and golf.
