overview:

Dry Island is a half-mile off the north shore of Lake Saranac, often referred to as the crown jewel of the Adirondack lakes. Adirondack Regional Airport, served by Cape Air, is 15 minutes from the Lake. Once at our mainland dock, we will take you straightaway to the Island. For Dry Island guests looking to enjoy the attractions surrounding the Lake, there is a wide array of restaurants, art museums, art galleries and craft fairs. There are two cozy log cabins on the Island with a total of five bedrooms. The main house has a large living room with fireplace, screened-in porch, large wraparound deck, state-of-the-art kitchen, and three ensuite bedrooms. The smaller cabin, less than two minutes away by foot, has two additional bedrooms and a spacious living room. For the REAL camper, there is a two-bedroom Tree House.

Dry Island is all about lake activities. The Boathouse is the hub of daytime activity, with 14 boats for guest enjoyment: canoes, kayaks, small boats, small sailboats, and a beautifully crafted cruiser captained by the resident boatman. There is a sandy beach for easy swimming, as well as for evening bonfires. For walkers and hikers, there are trails crisscrossing the Island. There’s a family-size hot tub on the main house deck.
