Location and Surroundings:

Great Views is located in the beautiful Green Mountains, in Sharon, Vermont, a drive of 20 minutes from picturesque Woodstock Vermont and 30 minutes from the Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. It is equidistant, and about two hours’ drive, from the airports in Hartford, CT, Burlington, VT and Manchester, NH, and just slightly longer from Boston’s Logan Airport. Cape Air flies into West Lebanon, NH, about 30 minutes away. The estate sits at 1,400 feet and enjoys seemingly endless views of the surrounding mountains.

Accommodations:

The estate’s accommodations are divided between the 6,000 square-foot main house and the 4,000 square-foot guest house. There are seven ensuite bedrooms. No expense has been spared in the house’s interiors, with vaulted ceilings of rare mahogany wood, radiant-heated marble floors, floor-to-ceiling windows to capture the stunning mountain views, a gourmet kitchen, and a large entertainment room and kids’ game room. Outdoor entertainment and recreation amenities include an extra-large covered terrace and a heated swimming pool.

Experience and Activities:

Local area attractions are as appealing as spending all one’s time in and around the estate. One day trip, for instance, might be to nearby Woodstock, one of New England’s most picturesque villages, where there is an interesting collection of craft brewers and distilleries as well as several intriguing artisan furniture-makers and potters. Just south of Great Views is Dartmouth College with its performing and visual arts centers, and Norwich Vermont with its fascinating youth-oriented Montshire Museum of Science. There are innumerable quaint villages within 30 minutes. On the estate, there is a large network of walking trails and a heated pool, not to speak of the opportunities to just relax and take in the glorious views.
